Pastor Esther Obasi-ike PhD

Esther Obasi-ike Ph.D. is a pastor, a dynamic preacher of the gospel and a multi-gifted international inspirational speaker. She is also a conference facilitator, leader, mentor, government, non-governmental and corporate consultant, counselor, teacher, author, spiritual leader, advisor, educator, and media guest. She has travelled extensively to over thirty countries across 5 continents.

Pastor Esther gave her life to Christ in 1984 and was elected to Christian Union leadership in 1987. In 1996, after a series of career growth opportunities, she joined her husband Pastor Prince Obasi-ike in Kenya and the two became the pioneer missionaries of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Eastern Africa. She was ordained a pastor of RCCG in 1997. She is the pastor in charge of RCCG Solution Centre, Nairobi which has over one thousand members.

Pastor Esther is also the Founder/ President of the Queen Esthers’ Generation (QEG), a dynamic interdenominational women’s outreach with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. The outreach is held once a month and has a membership of about three thousand women. QEG aims to Transform, Equip, Empower and Engage God’s people for Christian Service. Currently, QEG has presence in six counties of the Republic of Kenya and has also rolled out to other nations in Africa and beyond with its presence in Canada, USA and Australia. She is also the Founder/ Visionary of the Queen Esthers’ Next Generation (QENG); a mentorship programme for young girls.

Pastor Esther earned a doctorate in Missiology from Fuller Theological seminary, California USA and a Masters’ degree from Africa International University Nairobi, Kenya. She was also trained in the world class Haggai Institute Hawaii USA and now serves as a facilitator at Haggai Institute, Nairobi, Kenya.

Pastor Esther is a Kingdom Philanthropist who advocates against systems that encourage hand-outs, rather she desires to see every man and woman live an accomplished life. Her passion through her Initiatives and networks empowers many through skill acquisitions. Her women ministry has trained several women on tailoring; she initiated Maendeleo Savings and Credit CO- Operative Society (SACCO) that facilitates low interest loans which enables members start up income generating activities, meet basic family needs and pay school fees; in partnership with Coca-Cola company, she aided a few people with starting small scale businesses. She leads the church members to prison outreaches leading to social transformation and also founded a legal/ medical outfit that offers free services to the needy and hosts an annual free medical and legal camps with leading hospitals in Kenya and team  of  lawyers  respectively. 

Through community services, her women ministry initiated a clean-up at a neighboring hospital and donated a water tank to the health center in one of the slums; her team holds weekly mentorship trainings for over thirteen secondary schools in Nairobi and she does free feeding programs for the slum children. During the COVID-19 Pandemic she mobilized volunteers who made and donated about five thousand masks to the needy.

Pastor Esther is a family woman. She is married to Pastor Prince Okechukwu Obasi-ike, the pioneer missionary of RCCG Eastern Africa Region since 1993 who is a Deputy Continental Overseer and a Regional Pastor in the same organization; a man gifted and called to demonstrate God’s deliverance power in the Kingdom. Pastors Esther and Prince work as a team to fulfill their purpose. They have enjoyed 30 years of marriage and are blessed parents of three children – Favour Obasi-ike, Daisy Obasi-ike and Goodnews Obasi-ike.

Pastor Esther sits in several boards and in 2021 was appointed the Chair of Board of Trustees for Africa International University Nairobi, Kenya.  She is the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for RCCG Kenya and a board member of Evangelical Alliance of Kenya (EAK).

The Nigeria High Commissioners Award - 2010

Pastor Esther and her husband Pastor Prince Obasi-ike received the Nigeria High Commissioner’s award for exemplary community Service and Social Development in Kenya.

Distinguished Leadership Award - 2013

Award for providing exemplary servant leadership in society by Africa International University (Nairobi – Kenya).
